Drink Richmond was founded in October 2017 as the first company in Richmond devoted to educational alcohol tourism with a focus on more than just beer. We don't just visit breweries, but we also take you to distilleries, cideries, and wineries as well. This allows for a more diverse, well-rounded, and fun experience, in addition to more customizable options for our guests and private parties.
We want to make it easier for people to responsibly have fun in Richmond and learn about the craft alcohol scene. Part of that mission is accomplished by bringing together different groups of people; from singles to large parties, from retirees to young professionals and students. At the same time, we hope to support the local startup businesses involved in Richmond's alcohol economy.
During Covid-19, we adjusted our model to guided walking tours which also allowed for safer trips with smaller groups of people. The model worked well, and we decided to continue it going forward. As a result, we no longer operate a bus or have need for a driver tour guide so that we can focus on the experience. Our Tour Guides walk you to the best of Richmond's alcohol producers!
